1. About RxSetu

RxSetu ("we", "our", or "us") is a B2B platform that helps pharmacy retailers search for medicines, discover stockists, and explore pharmaceutical company information within their city or region. We operate through our website at rxsetu.in and our Android application available on Google Play Store.

This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your choices regarding your data. It is governed by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and business or pharmacy name. This is used to create and manage your account.

b. Location Data

Our Android app requests access to your device location to display stockist and supplier results relevant to your city or region. Location is used in real time for search filtering and is not stored on our servers beyond what is necessary to serve your current request.

c. Payment Information

Subscription plan payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. We do not store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or banking credentials. Razorpay processes your payment data under their own privacy policy, available at razorpay.com/privacy. We receive only a transaction confirmation and payment reference ID.

d. Usage Data

We may collect anonymised data about how you interact with the app — such as which features you use and how often — to improve service quality. This data does not identify you personally.

e. Device Information

We may collect basic device identifiers (device type, OS version, app version) for debugging, crash reporting, and compatibility purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your RxSetu account.
  • To provide city and region-based stockist and medicine search results.
  • To process subscription plan purchases via Razorpay.
  • To send service-related notifications (plan expiry, support responses).
  • To improve app reliability, performance, and features.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations applicable in India.

4. Third-Party Services

We share your information only as described below. We do not sell your personal data.

  • Razorpay— payment processing. Receives payment details at checkout. Governed by Razorpay's own privacy policy.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Providers — our servers and databases are hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure. Data is stored within India or in jurisdictions with adequate data protection.

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and platform.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for data in transit and access controls for data at rest. While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we remove your personal profile data within 7 business days. Some records (such as payment transaction references) may be retained longer where required by law, tax obligations, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

RxSetu is intended for use by pharmacy and retail business professionals and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Withdraw consent to location access at any time via your device settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
